Programme Outcomes (POs)

M.Tech in Marine Structures (MS)

PO1. An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

PO2. An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.

PO3. Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.

 

M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering and Management (WREM)

PO1. An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems

PO2. An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document

PO3. Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program

PO4. An understanding of the need for sustainable engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, ethical and societal context.

PO5. An ability to model and simulate water resources system using advanced tools and techniques as well as to analyze and interpret the results.

PO6. An ability to function in multidisciplinary teams and also develop leadership qualities.

 

M.Tech in Geoinformatics

PO1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, probability and statistics, science, and engineering fundamentals in identifying and understanding the issues and problems in the areas of Remote Sensing and GIS.

PO2. An ability to collect appropriate, adequate reference data, critically analyze and interpret the results.

PO3. An ability to design and develop a solution/system, to meet desired needs within the context of Remote Sensing and GIS.

PO4. An ability to function on teams that integrate contributions from different areas where Remote Sensing and GIS are successfully applied.

PO5. An ability to identify, formulate a strategy for  Remote sensing and GIS application in the appropriate  field

PO6. An ability to use the techniques, skills and state of the art engineering tools necessary for  Remote sensing and GIS application.

PO7. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

PO8. An ability to critically observe/examine actions/outcomes of self and others and learn from the mistakes.

PO9. An understanding of the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context.

PO10. An ability to communicate effectively.

PO11. An ability to optimally use knowledge of engineering and management principles in whatever work one does in order to accomplish the task and manage projects efficiently.

PO12. An ability to design a system component or process in multi-disciplinary environments.
