  • Basic concepts and equations of Ideal and Real fluid flow, stream & potential functions, Basic flow patterns of ideal fluid flow and their superposition, lift-drag.
  • Laminar flow, Navier-Stokes equations, exact solutions, Boundary layer concepts and equations.
  • Turbulent flow and theories of turbulence, Reynolds equations, Power, logarithmic velocity distribution, flow through pipes.
  • Varied flow equation and methods of computation, methods for natural channels, flow over spillways, hydraulic jump, types of spatially varied flow, Demarchi's equation for side weirs.
